Nancy Dwight is an oil painter living in coastal South Carolina, a career she embraced after decades in politics, communications, and public service in Washington, DC and New England.

While always a sketcher and student of art, Nancy Sinnott Dwight’s early life was in elective politics. In the early 1980s, she served as Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee and for decades worked with numerous officeholders, candidates for public office and non-profit organizations. Among other assignments she served on the National Museum and Library Services Board which expanded her appreciation and love of art across America. She and her husband Don enjoy many children, grandchildren, and their spouses.

Nancy Dwight Fine Arts was established in 2018 and through time, classes, exhibitions, and galleries, has grown in both depth and recognition. Nancy is an associate member of the Oil Painters of America, and member of The Four Corners Gallery in Bluffton, SC, The Flow Gallery in Palmetto Bluff and The Artists of the Bluff, LLC.

She loves the challenge of capturing light, drama and the darkness that moves through the low country’s southern coastal shores and is particularly excited about expressing it abstracted. And she especially enjoys painting “My New England,” often in the summers when the landscapes and vistas beckon.
